http://abcnews.go.com/US/manti-teo-denies-faking-girlfriend-hoax-admits-tailored/story?id=18255156

Respond to the following questions:

-How does this story fit with the "relationship" theme?
-What are some characteristics of a good relationship that they (Manti and Lennay) had?
-What are some characteristics of a good relationship that they were missing?
-Put yourself in Te'o's shoes...what would you have done?  Do you believe him?

  1. This story fits in with the relationship theme, because it’s between two people, who are in love, and it goes a long way. Even though they have never actually met, it goes far. farther than it needed to be.

Some good characteristics that were included in between Manti and “Lennay” were that they both cared about each other. Manti cared when “Lennay” said she had cancer, and they both trusted each other with the info they told each other.

Some good characteristics that were left out were that they never met in person, nor planned to meet each other in person. Which is a dumb idea when it comes to internet relationships.

If I were manti, I would need to see “her” in person before I take my internet relationships farther than just friends. When it comes to the internet, there is no one you can trust. A person who says they’re a girl could really turn out to be a 26 year old gay man.
I do believe manti when he says he was a victim, because he kept a straight face, he didn't show any signs of uneasiness when he was speaking, the way someone’s facial expressions look can determine if a person is lying or not.

  2. This story fits with the relationship theme because Manti Said to this girl that he loved her. Also that he always talked to her on the phone. Then he admitted that he had a relationship with her on Facebook and Twitter. There are some characteristics the Manti and lennay had like calling each other and communicating on Facebook and Twitter. He called he every day until she supposedly died when his grandmother died. Also that he communicated with her using Facebook and Twitter. There is characteristics that they did not have in a good relationship is that he didn’t see her. That means that he lied to his parents that he went to go and see her. If i was Manti Te’o I would have come out and said that i lied and i was part of a hoax from Ronaiah Tuiasosopo. I don’t believe him because while he was in the interviews it sounded like he was stuttering to get his words out while talking to the interviewers.

  3. i feel the article fits with the “relationship” theme because Te’o was dedicated to his so called girlfriend. seeing how him having a girlfriend is a form of a relationship it would be quite obvious
    that it would fit in.

some good characteristics that Manti and Lennay had as a relationship, the first one would be they always talked. the second one would be that they met up and they have similar interest and they really thought they had something going for each other.

some characteristics that were missing. would have to be that they don't see each other often, and that there was something odd between the two which is what Manti noticed.

if i was in Te’o shoes i would come right out and tell them that i was lied. that i've never met her and that she was just an internet girlfriend and that i shouldn't have taken it so very serious.

  4. Some characteristics they had in a good relationship was communication they were able to contact from the phone and the internet and they each had a long decadence relationship.

One characteristics they could of had in a relationship was they could've meet each other face to face instead of always talking on the phone and on the computer.

The story fits with the relationship theme because he tells the true about have a long decadence relationship

If i was te’o i wouldn't start tell everybody that my girlfriend die and lie about seeing her face to face and start having a big argument about seeing who’s right or not.

I believe that he was involved in this hoax and that he made a plane with the guy to do all so that they both get the attention from the public.

  5. Some characteristics that had in a good relationship was communication they were able to talk with each other and call and Facebook each other to see how each other were doing.
One characteristics they could of had in there relationship was that they could of meat each other in like a snap chat, Skype or even go and talk to them.
The story fits with the relationship theme because he told her that he loves him a lot and told her the truth about it.
If i was te'o I world of stop talking to her on the phone or something and just go up there and meat her face to face.
I believe that he did this on purpose so that he can get action to a girl that he loves.
