  2. TS: I believe that there is solid evidence that soda can cause depression.

SD: One example is drinking more than four servings of sodas.

ELAB: This could cause depression because drinking more than four servings of sodas could risk rising your depression.

SD: Another example is that people who drink fruit punch have a higher risk.

ELAB: This could also cause depression Because of people who drink fruit punch they have a 38% chance of depression.

CLOSER: I think that people who drink more sodas and fruit punch have a high risk of depression.

  3. I don’t think that any type of soda or soft drink can cause depression.

One reason is that there is not enough evidence that soft drinks and such cause this. Because all that was done was a test on what drinkers drank everyday and determined the percentage of depression chance, Nothing else. more tests needed to be ran in order for a solid conclusion to be made.

Another reason is that people drink soda, coffee, and tea all the time. If it really caused depression, wouldn’t we have spotted it’s effects already? Then do something about it that makes it not cause depression?

Even though I personally don’t drink any soft drinks, i don’t believe they cause depression.

  4. TS: Soda and soft drinks will rise up more stress and depression
SD: Soda and soft drinks makes you get more stress and depression is that people do studies.
ELAB: study has said that 260,000 people get more depression from drinks.
SD: Study says that Diet drinks makes you fat.
ELAB: Diet drinks make people fat because of all the caffeine and calories it has.
CLOSER: This is why soda and soft drinks will rise up more stress and depression

  5. TD. my opinion on why i think depression is not linked to drinking soft drinks.
SD. i don't think it is linked because i drink soda all the time and i never feel depressed.

ELAB.everyday when i am hanging out with people i will be drinking some kind of drink and every time i am at home i drink soda it would be hard to believe that i could get depressed from a drink.
SD. i also don't think it make you depressed because my friends drink it.
ELAB. i think one of them would have depression by now but still no one does i think that the person who wrote this was just trying to blame depression on something else because they could not handle it.
CC. that is to reasons i think it doesn't matter

Ts: I believe that there is evidence that show’s that soda can cause depression with two reason’s.
SD: The first evidence that show’s that soda can cause depression is that it can make you overweight.
Elab: Soda can get you overweight by drinking too much sugar. The calories and added stuff make your body work harder, therefore your circulatory system is at a greater risk for failure. The added calories can make you overweight, and because you are overweight, you may work out. If you work out and your circulatory system can’t handle it, your risk level increases. You have a greater chance for a stroke or heart attack.
SD: The second evidence that show’s that soda can cause depression is that the ABA(American Beverage Association).
Elab: When the ABA tested over 250,000 people, but only 11,300 had depression after 10 years of drinking soda. The participants were from the age of 50 to 71. They consumed one beverage that is caffeinated. Their choices were soda, tea, or coffee. They drank them each day in 1995 to 1996, and then got tested for depression 10 years later.
Closer: These are the two major pieces of evidence that support why soda can cause depression.
