Dangerous Energy Drinks?

ESPN-The Caffeine Loaded Drinks Debate
This is a touchy topic for most teenagers.  After watching the video answer the following questions.  If you are not sure of the first question use examples from the video or look it up on the internet.  If you answer yes to question number two, then you must answer question number three was well.  Please construct one solid paragraph for each answer.

1.      How does the choice to use these energy drink products affect your health?

2.      Should kids (people under the age 18) be allowed to buy energy drinks?

3.      If yes, should kids be limited on the number they can buy or is it up to the person to limit themselves?  Why?

  1. The choice for using energy drinks will affect your health by consuming this every single day and it is probably harmful.

I don’t think kids under 18 should be allowed to buy energy drinks because it could kill you and it is harmful to your body. You could get a seizure from this if you consume too much every single day. Kids under 18 shouldn’t buy energy drinks cause people don’t think what is inside a energy drink and they’re not mature enough to make their own decision.

  2. It affects your health because you could die or get a seizure and you could get a heart attack.
I think teenagers under the age of 18 shouldn't be able to drink Energy drinks because it has a lot of caffeine in it and you could die if you drink more than a day. Another reason why they shouldn't drink the Monster and Energy drinks is you will get sick and it will cause a lot of things that could happen to you if you drink more than one a day. It could also cause anxetity and stress and seizure. Another reason why they shouldn't drink Energy drinks is they are not responsible for what happens to them and they are not mature enough to drink energy drinks.

  3. I honestly think that energy drinks are the worst thing you could possibly drink. For the most part energy drinks are extremely bad for you and if you do drink it you really shouldn't drink more than 1 a day, 2 depending on the occasion. I honestly think age limit for kids to be purchasing energy drinks is 13-14 and above because honestly a 11 year olds digestion system and all around body is not going to handle all that caffeine and sugar very lightly and like in the video shown, might do some serious damage to their body's. I think people can and should be able to purchase energy drinks but should be limited on how much they can by(depending on the size of the energy drink) or if it comes in a pack or not. Once again I also think it depends on the age of the person buying and consuming these products. So in short I think people should be given the option to purchase energy drinks if they are over the age of 13 to 14 but should be limited to how much they can buy which I would say would have to be 2 to 3 cans. I personally don’t drink energy drinks unless I either feel like it or I’m at a convention but once again those are far in between and my body personally can handle substances like that given the fact that I don’t drink them very often. The rest is up to the person drinking it and how much they consume because honestly you can't stop someone from wanting to consume the amount that they wish to consume.
Besides Monster and Nos is a bunch of crap real men drink “Power Squash” the energy drink of a Super Sayain!

  4. Energy drinks affect the health of the people because they think that they are just drinking something that tastes good but they are pretty much drinking poison. That affects their health because of all of that caffeine, sure it helps you stay up late but it also affects their body badly. For example, on those Red Bull commercials where they say “Red Bull gives you you wings” they give you wings all right, YOUR ANGEL WINGS.

Kids should not be allowed to purchase energy drinks because there is no way that kids need all that caffeine. They are just trying to kill themselves more. Face it, a kid almost died from energy drinks, the last thing we need is another death. What do kids need caffeine for anyway?

  5. The products are bad for you if you drank like over a day you're going to have a problem. That like 16 12 oz cans of Cokes in one.

I think if the drinks are outlawed the kids will say to their parents will buy it for them. Then the people that are 18 can buy it for there friend.

  6. the choice to consume energy drinks affects your health by increasing your heart rate which greatins the chance of a heart attack. with all the caffeine in you system it plays with you sleeping routine.

i feel that kids under the age of 18 should not need to be restricted of energy drinks. i feel the parents should be responsible enough to make those decisions for their kids.i dont that we should need to go around banning things.

idont feel that they should be baned but i do feel they should be restricted on how many they can buy.
