Chapter 5 - Should i really be doing this? The chapter begins as Alfred gets ready to go for his training run. When he is done some cops stop him on the street and question Alfred about what he is doing. Alfred explains to them he is training to be a boxer and the cops talk to him in disbelief. Alfred then goes work and the Epstein’s keep giving him looks. Then Lou Epstein talks to Alfred about the robbery, thinking that he had something to do with it. later Alfred finds James outside the shop, but when Alfred calls to James he ignores him. After Alfred leaves for home he thinks to himself if he should really be training. Henry then comes along and asks Alfred if he will go see Mr. Donatelli. That perks up Alfred to keep training.
chapter 5 The main idea of chapter 5 is about people not trusting Alfred. It starts with Alfred running at the park, then the these police officer came out of a bush and questioned him. When Alfred got home, Auntie Pearl questioned him to. She thought he was getting in trouble and then he didn't want to deal with it so he went to work. At work his bosses didn't trust him with anything, so Alfred to avoid them the whole time. At the end of the book Alfred saw James by the store, James just ignored Alfred and Henry stopped by and told Alfred that Mr. Donatelli was asking about him.
Chapter 5 The main idea of chapter 5 is that Alfred day got a lot worse when he talked with the policemen. Alfred was enjoying his run till he might the policemen who made fun of him for joining boxing club. After he might the policemen, he had a argument with Aunt Pearl. Since the roberty the workers all thought that Alfred was the person who has sent them. While Alfred was working, he saw his best friend James. When Alfred saw Henry, he did not want to quit boxing anymore because Henry had brighten his mood.
in chapter 5 of the contender. when he was jogging the cops came out of a boosh and started to judging him for no reason and taunting him. they where saying they will look for him in the papers. so he was deciding he was going to quit the boxing thing and just live his life. so he went to work and mr epstein kept looking at him in a bad way and when he talked to him he said don't feed into fate. then for the rest of the time he did nothing but sweep until henry came and machined to him what if he was going to the gym that night and he completely forgot about it.

Alfred goes back to work, then aunt pearl came into the store to drop off Alfred lunch, and she was very quiet. after that Lou didn’t trust alfred with money, Lou always ask Alfred to take the money to the bank but not after what happen last friday. Alfred saw James standing in the front the store but James just walk away. Finally, Alfred saw Henry who told him Mr. Donatelli was asking about him.

When Alfred was sweeping, he saw Henry by the front door and asked if Alfred was going to come to the gym. When Henry left Alfred saw James walking away from the store and Alfred tried to call James name but James didn’t answer.
The main idea of chapter 5 is, alfred wakes up and goes running in the park. When he is running two officers question Alfred and they find out that he is just training to be a boxer. The officers teased him and left him alone. when Alfred gets back to the house Aunt pearl was wondering if alfred was in trouble or being looked for, Aunt pearl knew something was up due to Alfred didn't eat breakfast or take his lunch with him. Later alfred goes to work and his Boss asked Alfred if he knew about the robbery because Lou knew Alfred was best friends with James. Lou was also worried about if Alfred was going to lose his job. they wanted to be able to trust Alfred seeing how he did before. After work, Alfred runs into Henry and discusses that he will meet him at Donatelli’s Gym.
