  1. Studies are showing that people who get less than 8 hours of sleep, are getting genetic mutations. Which is something I did not think/know was possible.
    Scientists have studies 26 people, stress genes were amplified, other’s gens like the ones that repair cell’s were turned off.

  2. TS there are many things from this article, i did not know.
    SD. what i question how did the people just leave the test?
    Elab i wonder how the people don't leave the test because they are consistently getting woke up.
    SD where is the evidence?
    Elab. what i wanna know is where is the evidence. sure they can relate and say “ohh ur genes are changing over a 7 day period...” when really everyone is different.
    SD the scientist are still puzzled?
    Elab in the article it says that some scientist are still puzzled about how much sleep you really need.
    SD a thing that i learned from this article was
    Elab 30% of civilians only get 6 hours of sleep. which is crazy because that over 1/5 of people.
    SD not getting sleep can be deadly
    Elab in the article it states that people that don't get sleep have a higher risk of Diabetes and high blood pressure.
    closer in my opinion i think that scientists need to research more and what we do know we need to think about more.

  3. TS: I lean that if you don’t get enough sleep you will crash in the middle of the day from exhaustion.
    SD: Doctors studies says that if you don't get lots of sleep then you will have poor health said Colin Smith a genomics researcher at University of Surrey in England.
    ELAB: If you don't get enough sleep you will not be as full cast as those who does get 8 hours of sleep.
    SD: Doctors as also proven that if you don't get enough sleep you might get high blood pressure and diabetes.
    ELAB: If you don't sleep when you will get very sick because you might get heart problems and that your stress will grow a lot bigger.
    SD: Doctors has said that your brain will be better if you have lots of sleep then those who always put an all nighter.
    ELAB: Most people who has little to no sleep will have brain malfunction while they are doing there work and at school.
    CLOSER: This is what I learn what happen if you don’t get enough sleep.

  4. TS Three things that I did not know about in the article is STRESS, GENES , CARDIOVASCULAR.

    SD The first thing I did not know about was It can make your stress grow.

    ELAB People who do not get enough and have stress is dangerous because It can cause genes to amplified stress to make it grow bigger.

    SD The second thing I did not know was it can cause you genes to turn on and off

    ELAB People who lose sleep can turn their genes on and off because when you lose sleep changes in rhythmic patterns are able to turn on and off your genes.

    SD The third thing that I did not enough about cardiovascular.

    ELAB People who don't get their fair sleep can be hazardous to their health because it can cause cardiovascular which means heart problems.

    Closer Now I know what less sleep can do to you along with other know people who didn't know.

  5. Tp: In the article there is many facts about how losing sleep is bad for you, but the three that impact me the most were heart problem, tissue harm, and fooling the brain with coffee. SD: Heart problem is a big thing in america right now. Elab: It’s a big problem because there is a unhealthy food that make heart problem, but we can now add on sleep deprived as another source of heart problem and that can affect how long you live. It also gives you a higher rate of diabetes, stroke, and high blood pressure. SD: Tissue harm is a big thing that happen when you don’t sleep good. Elab: Tissue is important because that is what regenerates your muscle and if you don’t get a good amount asleep you will slowly get weaker and weaker as the days go on without good amount of sleep. SD: Coffee is a crutch that makes you feel better if you get little bit of sleep. Elab: Coffee is a crutch because people use it so much they kind of get addicted to it. For example my dad said if he doesn’t have his coffee he get head aches. Closer: These are some of the thing that happens when you don’t get enough sleep.
