  1. In the movie Black Hawk Down, the soldiers were portrayed as heroes. One way they are portrayed as heroes is by being a Warrior. The soldiers were warriors because they fought for someone else’s freedom, were brave, and didn’t chicken out right when something goes wrong. Another way they are heroes is by being determined. Being determined showed them as heroes because they wanted to make a change in society and they knew that couldn’t leave Mogadishu without going through the Somali army. The third way they are heroes is by being friendly. The soldiers were being friendly to the Somalis because we want more friendlies on our side, if we ever need them. They were also being friendly because we want people to view us as a good and helpful country, not a bad country that’s cocky and gets into everyone’s business. These were just some of the ways that the soldiers were portrayed as heroes throughout the movie.

One of the ways a solider are portrayed as hero are showing sacrifice. When a soldier sign up for mission he is portraying sacrifice because he might die on the mission, like the 18 soldier the die of the battle.
Another one of the ways a soldier is portrayed as hero is showing bravery. When a soldier sees an enemy, he has to be brave to take the shot and give away his location.
Another one of the way a soldier portrayed as a hero is showing warrior. When a soldier is on his/her last leg they never give up and fight to the end. They will take there knife and try to take out as many as they can before the get killed. This are some of the was that solder are portrayed as hreo.

  4. Was Every Soldier a hero during this mission?
Soldiers and Black hawks down are portrayed as heroes. I think the soldiers who have served in this war are brave. Because they put their own lives at risk to help other people so they didn’t die to evil Somalia’s who were armed with rocket repelled grenade launchers and assault rifles. Another trait of a hero is that they were trying to give to society by helping the good Somalia’s through their fearsome battle of which erupted once the U.S. arrived some of the U.S. troops died in this battle.
