(1.)The story, Black boy by Richard Wright, begins with a little boy describing his severe hunger issues and complaining to his mother about being hungry (2.)His mother told him that his dad left them and the would be no food until she got a job(3.) One evening the mother told the boy that he would have to do the shopping for her while she was at work so she showed him the way to the store(4.) The boy accidentally confronts a gang of boys who take his money and beat him up(5.) The boy runs home and tells his mother what happened, she gives him more money and sends him back to the store(6.) He gets mugged by the gang of boys again and he runs home to his mother(7.) the mother tells the boy that he needs to defend himself so she give him a long stick as a weapon,the boy still refuses until the mother threatens to never let him in the house again, and if he does come back to the house with no groceries she will whip him(8.) The boy goes out for the 3rd time to go shopping and the boys approach him again, the boy starts to freak out and swings the stick out of fear and hits everyone in the gang which cause them to retreat(9.) The gang members parents come out and start yelling at him, the boy threatens to hit them too and thats how he earned his rights to the street.
