Gary showed a lot of characteristics of a hero. One characteristic he shows is bravery. Heroes are brave because they risk their lives helping others. In this case Gary risked his life trying to save someone else’s. Another characteristic he shows is determination. Gary is a hero because he was determined to save the guys life even though he was right on the edge of falling. The 3rd characteristic of a hero Gary shows is responsibility. Gary showed responsibility because he was just doing his job, and didn’t chicken out when the guy fell over and almost slipped off or when the guy was stuck under the ice. Gary knew he couldn’t quit because the guys life depended on him. These were a few characteristics he shows, there are still many more he had shown that makes him a hero.
There are many way Gary show heroes when he save the man life. One example of Gary showing heroism is when he go in the freezing water to save a man. This show hero because he could of slipped and die when he go over the water fall. The second example of Gary showing heroism is when he attaches his self to the man in the water. This show hero because when he attaches his self to the man, the man and him might get hit by a big wave and fallen off the side of the falls. The third example of Gray showing heroism is when he called in the helicopter and he threw the line to the man and save him. This show heroism because he made the hard move to send in the copter and it was his reputation he put on the line. These are the many ways Gary showed heroism when he saves that man.
Disaster at Niagara Falls A man was close to death one wrong move and he would have been no longer alive to see another day. he was standing at the edge of a waterfall also known as the edge of death. But Gary came and saved this guy’s life so that he could live to see another day. One characteristic of heroism Gary showed is Bravery mainly because he went in freezing cold water just to save a guy’s life. Another characteristic of heroism Gary showed is giving to society because not only could the man have died but Gary could of died as well in this operation of life or death.
