http://www.ted.com/

Your task is to find a TED talk that we have not watched in class. You will then do a bit of research:

1) Find 2 articles of writing (from the internet) that connect with the messages being shared in the TED talk.

2)  Then, explain how each article connects by referring to specific passages in the article.  3 paragraphs total-

Paragraph #1: Summarize the TED talk
Paragraph #2: Connect 1st article to TED talk with specific passages
Paragraph #3: Connect 2nd article to TED talk with specific passages

  1. Wes Moore join the army because of college money what he knew he know how to do. First introduced by going to military school because he mom threatened him if his behavior doesn't get better you're going to military school. An when thirteen he got sent to the military. At first he tried to run away five time he started to release that he was growing up and that there were some people were depending on him and learned about leadership. after high school end soon he now what he want to do be a army officer. When he first sign up he knew he wasn't going to fight but after 9/11 that all change now he is fighting a war. The people he trained with and men he done drills with is now going to fight in a war which can’t be point on a map. Before he was on his first deployment his was talking about the begian of the first world war1. When soldier talk to other soldier they look at your war badges to see what unite you were in it burned him he didn’t had one and ask them why you sign up for. He thought to himself that if you survive a conflict you are out of danger but is still plays out in your memory still play out in there mind there thought and hunt in there sleep. The meaning for thank you for your service is thank you acknowledging us thank you for worrying about us thank you for the strength you have to do this. We sign up because we love this state and sign up for the other people idea. The theme is that say thank you for your sevice mean little but doing something to show that is what veterans want to see. http://www.ted.com/talks/wes_moore_how_to_talk_to_veterans_about_the_war

In this article, there was a soldier that was asked to end someone's live outside of war because the person was suffering so the veteran ended their life. Then he said that if there's a hell, that's probably what it smells like there. It penetrates you, and it won't go away for a long time. It's horrible. Because sometime the people of fought in the war do or see thing that they regret and that how they would feel and haunt them. An we should help them through the problem to show we care and a way to say thank you for what you did for the country.

In this article some veterans are in bad setation such as Over 57,000 veterans are homeless on any given night according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Another is some have a huge load debt to pay and when some people recognize them they don’t help. Veterans have needs that are not being made and that show that we need to do more for a veterans they need homes, food, shelter and medical stuff and all that can be simpull if we work together to help them. http://www.globalresearch.ca/what-happens-to-u-s-cannon-fodder/5390514.
