  1. The first difference is when roy told his class about the owls in the movie he was like meat me at pancake house opening. The 2ent difference is when Beatrish bite the bike tire but in the movie it was a nail. the 3rd thing different was it was a peaceful protest but Chuck was starting the dozer try to start doing the ground breaking. the movie was very bad at showing how they are trying to save the owls until the end.

  2. A difference between the movie and book is that in the movie Chuck Muckle gets arrested. In the book Chuck Muckle had to go to anger management class which he failed at. Chuck Muckle in the book quit his job and became the cruise director for Florida. What I didn’t like about the movie was that they didn’t say Mullet Fingers real name. What I liked about the movie was that Beatrice became nice to Roy. Also another thing I like about the movie was that Roy and Beatrice helped Mullet Fingers when he fell.

  3. In the movie and the book, there similar things they had in common but in my opinion I almost saw nothing but differences between the book and the movie, such as the way that Roy had an excuse to get home, in the book Beatrice but a hole in Roys bike tire using nothing but her teeth. In the movie she took a nail out of log and stuck it in Roys bike.
In the book, Roys bike had to get a new tire and wait a few days to get the new tire, in the movie he was riding his book the next day.
Another difference is the way where Napoleon lived, in the book he lived in a junk yard inside an ice cream truck with a sleeping bag. In the movie he lived inside a boat in a shipwrecked yard(which actually looked surprisingly nice inside).
Finally a fourth difference between the characters and the movie is the speeches Roy gave to his classmates. In the book he told everyone that the owls need help and gave them a motivational speech, in the movie he’s just like, “Hey guy’s come to the mother Paula place after school, K thx bai.”
That's 4 of the many differences I found between the Hoot movie and the Hoot novel.

  4. Well a few differences from the book and the movie is that chuck,E,muckel rescheduled the the construction earlier. Also in the movie chuck took a fire extinguisher and sprayed it at the birds. Also in the book the mother of mullet fingers tried to get back together with him that didn't happen in the movie. One thing I like better about the movie is I really didn't need to pay attention to much because the big parts of the movie was the same as the book. What I didn't like about the movie is that it left a lot of the detail out to try to be funny. In the end it wasn't that funny and it lost the emotion of the movie.

  5. The movie was different because it started out when Roy was living in Montana but in the book, it started out on the bus when Roy was getting bullied by Dana. Also, only in the movie was when Roy changed the date of the groundbreaking ceremony. When Mr and Mrs. Eberhart heard that Roy was in the hospital, in the book they found out by a phone call, in the movie Officer Delinko told them. what I like better about the book was that Dana got arrested when Roy tricked him into thinking that there were golden cigarettes on the construction site, in the movie, Dana got caught in the mousetraps when he was chasing Roy. What I like better about the movie is that when Mullet fingers left, he still was hanging out with Roy but in the book he leaves forever.

  6. One differrence about the movie is Leon and Lonna wasn't in the movie but were talked about in the book.
Another difference about the movie is Miss Hennepin was in the book but not in the movie.
One more difference about the movie is they moved the date the day before.
I liked the movie instead of the book because it had more drama than the book.
I dislike the book because there was not a lot of interesting things to learn.

  7. One difference between the movie and the book is how they changed the date in the movie. In the movie they kept the date the same and Mullet Fingers was in one of the owl holes with his head sticking out. Another difference between the book and the movie was the incident where Dana got arrested. In the movie Dana followed Roy through the construction site and tripped on rat traps causing him to get caught by officer Delinko, but in the book Dana was told there were cigarettes in the trailer and got chased by officer Delinko. The third difference was during the interrogation with Dana and officer Delinko. In the movie, officer Delinko brings a real alligator out of a bag and scares Dana, but in the book he brought out a fake alligator and threw it at Dana and scared him. One thing I like about the movie was the characters they used to play the parts. one thing I don’t like about the movie is how they jumped around between characters so much.
