  1. Dope Sick
In the beginning of the book I do not agree with the choices the person made in my book because throughout the most part of the book the main character and his friend have been causing trouble. Such as doing this wonderful magnificent drug known as dope and as for his friend he is most likely going to land in prison because he is not the smartest of person. Another choice this guy made was meeting Kelly; Kelly tried to help him out because of his addiction to dope and his choices he made with his friends were not very wise at all and Kelly pointed that out.
If I was in the same situation as this guy was I would of went my separate ways from my friend because in the book he was doing lots of dope and he shot at cops. This is going to land that guy in the prison because of his own ignorant actions.
Choices that the main character made in this book are no better than his friend’s choice mainly due to the fact his friend’s choice was to do dope.
These choices the main character made in the book say that he followed in his friend’s footsteps which were not at all the right choice at all.

  2. Chance has made many important choices throughout the book. One major choice he made was to not be friends with Melissa anymore (129, Deuker). He couldn’t be friends with Melissa because he was extremely worried about getting caught picking up the packages for his job and since Melissa tried to get involved, he knew that if he’s still friends with Melissa he wouldn’t be able to make that money to support him and his dad. Another major choice Chance made was to quit his job working for the fat guy (155, Deuker). He quit his job because he knows that he’s part of a smuggling operation and he doesn’t like to think the cops are always after him and he just wants to have a normal job again so he’s not as paranoid.
I don’t agree with Chances choice of not being friends with Melissa anymore. I don’t agree with it because he lost the only person who truly cares about him, and that he can talk about anything too. By the way Melissa was acting before, it seemed like she liked him and if that’s the case he lost a potential girlfriend. She was always there for him when he needed someone, she offered to give him money, she offered to help him get a job; she tried to help him in every way she could think of. If you have a friend like that, you know you’re making a bad choice of throwing away the friendship. Although I don’t agree with that choice, I do agree with the other choice he has made, to quit his job working for the “Fat Guy”. I agree with this choice because he did do the right thing by quitting before it’s too late. If he didn’t quit the job, yes he would have had a lot of money, but sooner or later he would have got caught and arrested, he also started to talk to Melissa again since he quit the job and had nothing to worry about.
If I was in his position, I just wouldn’t have taken that job. I wouldn’t want to be worried and stressed out like Chance was, but if I already had that job and was faced with the choices Chance was faced with, I would have quit when it was either between keeping Melissa as a friend or keeping the job. Getting a job wouldn’t be as hard as trying to find a friend like Melissa, so I would have quit the job to be friends with her. If Chances dad got a job, and Chance got a new job they could still pay for the bills. So I would have quit much sooner than Chance did.
The choices that Chance was faced with, tells you that he is a very responsible kid. Although some of the choices he made weren’t good, he is very responsible because he knew he had to pay for the bills or he and his dad would get kicked out and they would have to live somewhere else. He was faced with many of these choices mainly because his dads a drunk so Chance has to do everything. The book kind of portrayed Chance as a bad kid, but I can see where he’s coming from with taking that job even though I wasn’t ever in his position. Chance isn’t a bad kid; he is actually a very caring, responsible kid who has to do what he has to do to get by.

  3. Dead line
One of the big choice that ben had to make, is when he had to go to the office, where he found his doctor with a sad face on. The doctor said very softy, (that you have one year to live.) He told the doctor not to tell his parents about his death. (Page 4 Chris Crutcher.) The second big choice was to get sleep with this girl. It’s not as big as dyeing big I a big deal to him. (Page 79 Chris Crutcher.) Because he made a big commitment to her that he cannot keep.
I do not agree with ben with not telling his parents. If that happen to me, I would tell my parents because they would never make me do a thing in the house again. I would be awesome, excepted for dyeing. I do not agree with the choices ben make because he is going to die in a year and there heart will be broken and they might get depress because the might think he just use them to get in there pants.
What choices that ben has made in the book deadline has shaped his life. When ben made the choices to keep his death a secret. This change his life because know he is think about what he want to do with his life. Then when he made the choice to sleep with the girl. This change his life because he now has a girl friends and know he is think about his further with his girl and think about how to tell her.

  4. Touching Spirit Bear
One choice the character Cole Matthews made in my book was to choose between Circle justice and having to go to prison for a few years. “Cole didn’t trust anyone, but what choice did he have? “Okay” he answered (15).
Another choice is when he got angry at his parents. “Cole felt a sudden rush of anger and jerked away. Why did everybody always have to touch him? (19).
I agree with the choice he has made because it will prevent him from going to prison and give him a real look at life out in the wild. This might also make him appreciate his friends and family back home more.
I disagree with this choice. The reason why is because it is not right to treat your parents this way and if it wasn’t for his parents he wouldn’t be here.
If I got faced with this choice I would have done the same thing and chose circle justice because you will learn a valuable lesson in life and learn life as it is out in the wild. The other reason I would have done this is because this would show my parents that I have a bright future if I can survive the wild.
If I got faced with my parents and me always fighting I would just learn to cooperate with them and get along. The reason I would choose to do this is because it is important to have a good relationship with your parents.
This choice says that the character is very confident that he can make it through big obstacles like circle justice. Another thing this shows is that he actually could have the possibility to impress people back home if he can do this successfully.
This choice shows that the character in my book has a bit of anger management. It also shows that this is the reason he has to go to circle justice.
