A lot of technology-Is this good or bad?
Based on the new technology article link, look at the pros and cons of the new technology we explored in class. Have humans gone too far with technology or do you think we have not gone far enough and this is only the beginning? Answer the question will this technology be helpful to humans or will the cons of it out-weigh the pros?
I think that we need to come up with the technology so that a people have little stress in their life. With the new robots we can get rid of the cancer and those other entire thing that will kill us. We can’t have technology do all the work for us, because if we do nothing then there is no point of having us around. If technology gets to a point that no one died, then the world will be overpopulated. All I am saying is that we should have better technology, but not go too far with it.
ReplyDeleteI think that robots are going to get to the point where it starts to take away jobs and might even eventually turn on the human race like in the movie terminator. If robots continue to get advanced it will eventually get to the point where robots can start to think for themselves and might even start to turn on the human race like I previously said so I think robots should just be used like they are today remote controlled and only are capable of doing just one task. Because if robots are capable of doing stuff such as handling weapons and they have a mind for their own and a malfunction happens bad things can happen. That also goes with robots taking away jobs for us human beings like the prisoner robot in South Korea but that specific robot is only designed to detect negative behavior it cannot actually restrain prisoners.
ReplyDeleteI think that this technology will affect our lives in a good and a bad way. The reason I think it will affect us in a good way is because if there are ways to get rid of disease that can kill you, more civilians will be cured by these robots and the people who are saved by this invention will be very happy. On the other hand if we are saving every civilian diagnosed with this the world will become over populated. The only invention I thought was cool and reasonable was the DNA robot. If we keep inventing pointless stuff like a running cheetah and a woman who can sing the world is not being helped in anyway, it is only being hurt. I don’t know what people aren’t realizing but all that is being accomplished is nothing besides making a cool robot there’s no reason they should waste all the money and resources to build these robots. All in all these inventions are all trying to make the world a better place buts its really making it worse by polluting the earth just to build these machines. All of this is affecting us humans and other creatures of the world because its removing the o ozone layer more and more each year we keep polluting it. It is also a big reason why global warming is happening so sudden. All that I got out of this is that people should start realizing how much of an impact this is making on the earth and are universe.
ReplyDeleteI believe that having a lot of technology is good but only to a certain extent. One example of how a lot of technology is good is that we can have robots do what we humans can’t such as killing cancer cells. Having a robotic cell that kills cancer cells is a good thing because it can save many people across the world that is slowly dying from cancer. One example of how technology can get out of hand is when robots are taking our jobs. Humans have gone too far with technology when these robots start taking our jobs because if robots take our jobs, that means less jobs for us, which means less money for us, which means less items we are going to buy, which also means that the stock market could fail. Although there are a lot of pros and cons for this robot topic, but one pro that definitely outweighs the cons is that these robots could potentially open more jobs for us. It’s a huge benefit for us if these robots could open jobs for us because we are in a recession, and if more jobs could be created that would be very good so many people can get back on their feet and support their family. I overall think having a lot of technology is good, but we should control it very carefully so it doesn’t get out of hand.
